How did I get here?

So I'm a happy 46 (almost 47) year old woman, married with one teenage daughter. It seems like it wasn't that long ago that I was the one trying to navigate high school and BAM, now the next generation is doing it. I'm in what I've decided to call the limbo phase - no, that doesn't mean I'm doing the limbo. I might not ever get up. What I mean is, I'm no longer young and hot but not quite old and matronly either. I'm sure my daughter doesn't believe I was EVER in ninth grade, but there are moments when it seems like I was just there last week. I know time travel isn't possible, so how the hell did I get here so fast?
